Before you buy: renewal, cancellation and refunds
A summary of our terms. The checkout page repeats the exact total, renewal date and these conditions before you confirm payment.
- Total price and VAT
- Every price on this page is the total you pay in GBP, including VAT at 20%. There are no extra fees at checkout; any discount code is applied and shown before you pay.
- Renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown for the period you chose, until you cancel. We remind you before a renewal. Course passes, tickets and packs are one-off payments and never renew.
- Cancellation
- You have 14 days from purchase to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Your access starts straight away. If you also tick the separate box asking us to start immediately, you acknowledge that if you cancel a service within the 14 days you must pay a proportionate amount for what you have used, and that you lose the right to cancel digital content once it has started to be supplied. If you do not tick it, you keep the full right to cancel within 14 days for a full refund. Subscriptions can be stopped from auto-renewing at any time; access then continues to the end of the paid period.
- Refunds
- If you cancel within 14 days and have not substantially used the service we refund the payment in full. After that, refunds are considered case by case (for example duplicate charges, a cancelled live course or a service fault) and are never refused arbitrarily. Instructor-marking and AI-mark packs are refundable only for unused marks.
- If a payment fails
- If a payment fails you are not charged and no access is granted; you can retry at any time. If a renewal fails we tell you straight away and keep your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. A refund or chargeback never removes access you obtained through another valid purchase, gift or institution seat.

Pricing questions
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price is the total you pay in GBP, including VAT at 20%. The checkout page shows the VAT element separately on your receipt.
What can I use for free?
With Free Explorer you can try up to 10 sample questions as a visitor and 25 with a free account, read anything marked “Free” or “Sample”, join open webinars and take the free FLK challenge. No payment details are needed.
How do renewals work and how do I cancel?
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each paid period (monthly, every 3 months or every 6 months) at the price shown, until you cancel. You can stop auto-renewal at any time from Account → Subscription; your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for and you are not charged again.
Can I get a refund?
If you cancel within 14 days and have not substantially used the service we refund the payment in full. After that, refunds are considered case by case (for example duplicate charges, a cancelled live course or a service fault) and are never refused arbitrarily. Instructor-marking and AI-mark packs are refundable only for unused marks.
Does a live course pass include a subscription?
No — unless the course page and checkout say otherwise. A course pass or class ticket gives access to that course's or class's sessions, recordings and resources only. Subscriptions also never include live courses, so you only pay for what you choose.
How do AI marks and voice minutes work?
Plans with metered features show the allowance on this page (for example AI marks or voice minutes per calendar month). Monthly allowances reset at the start of each calendar month and unused units do not roll over. Top-up packs add to your allowance until they expire. You can always see what you have left on your Usage page before you use it.
Is instructor (human) marking included?
Instructor marking is sold separately as a marking pack. Each pack states how many submissions are marked, the turnaround time and how long it is valid. AI feedback is educational guidance only and is not an official SQE mark.
Can I change plan later?
Yes. From Account → Subscription you can upgrade or switch plan. Before you confirm, we show the amount you will pay and the date the change takes effect — upgrades apply straight away with a prorated charge, other changes at the end of your current period.
What happens to my progress if my access ends?
Your account, answer history, notes and statistics are kept according to our privacy notice — they are not silently deleted when paid access ends — and you can pick up where you left off if you return.
Do you offer discounts or institutional pricing?
Current public offers are shown at the top of this page with their conditions. Discount codes are entered at checkout, where eligibility and the discounted total are shown before you pay. Universities, law firms and training providers can request a multi-seat quote.
Are your courses approved by the SRA? Will I pass?
