Cookie policy#
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) used on uksqecourse.com. You can change your choices at any time with the "Change cookie settings" button on this page.
UK SQE Course is an independent SQE preparation provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed or accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or Kaplan SQE. We do not register candidates for the SQE and cannot guarantee exam results.
1. What are cookies?#
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They let a site remember you, keep you signed in and understand how it is used. We follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR: we ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary, and refusing is as easy as accepting.
2. Cookies we use#
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep you signed in, protect forms from forgery, balance load, remember your cookie choice | Session cookie; sqe_cookie_consent | Session; consent choice up to 180 days | No |
| Preferences | Remember display settings (theme, text size, reduced motion) when you are signed out | Local storage entries for display preferences | Up to 12 months | Yes |
| Analytics | Anonymous, aggregate measurement of page use so we can improve the service | Only set if you accept; no advertising or cross-site tracking | Up to 13 months | Yes |
We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies. If this changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
3. Managing your choices#
- Use the "Change cookie settings" button on this page to accept, reject or customise optional cookies. Your choice is stored for up to 180 days, after which we ask again.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, sign-in and checkout will not work.
- When you are signed in, display preferences are stored in your account (Settings, Preferences) rather than relying on cookies.
4. Third parties#
Our payment provider may set strictly necessary cookies on its secure checkout pages to prevent fraud. Their policies apply on their pages.
5. Changes and contact#
We publish each version of this policy with its effective date. Questions: support@uksqecourse.com. See also our privacy notice.
