How SQE2 practice tasks work
Choosing a task, working to time, submitting and what you see afterwards.

Open SQE2 to browse practice tasks by skill and practice area.
Starting a task
Each task has a scenario, instructions, documents, a suggested time limit and, where relevant, a word limit. You can work in timed mode to build exam habits or untimed while you are learning the skill.
While you work
Your draft is saved automatically. Timed attempts show a countdown and submit automatically at the deadline.
Submitting
When you submit, your work is stored as an attempt. You can start a new attempt on the same task later; your earlier attempts stay available so you can see how your answers change.
After you submit
- You can request AI marking for rubric-based feedback straight away, subject to your plan's allowance. See How AI marking works.
- With the right plan or pack you can request human marking from an instructor.
- Model answers and notes, where the task has them, are shown after you submit.
Privacy
Your submissions and feedback are private to you. Instructors see them only if you request human marking.
All scores and feedback are practice results and educational guidance. They are not official SQE marks and they do not predict whether you would pass the real assessment.
