How we keep content up to date when the law changes
What our content states about the law date, how updates are flagged and how your history is protected.

Law and the SQE specification both change. Each question, rule and note shows the date the law was checked to (its law as at date) and where we rely on a source, the source is cited.
When something changes
- Our editors assess which content is affected.
- Affected items are corrected, reviewed by a legal reviewer and republished as a new version, with the reason for the change recorded.
- Items marked as updated appear under Updates in your account, and you are told when a change affects something you have studied or saved.
Your history stays accurate
Answers you gave earlier stay linked to the version of the question you actually saw. A later correction does not rewrite what you were shown.
If you spot something out of date
Use Report an error on the item. See Reporting an error in a question or explanation. You can also tell us what you would like to see added in Suggestions.
